What a great workshop with a group of students!
We made the light installation in the forest nearby out cottages in Olonets, Karelia. Every night we lit up this peace of magic and the place became absolutely incredible! Every flashlight was with a paper butterfly, and when night came the butterfly started illuminating like in a fairy tale.

The main idea was to imitate fireflies in real forest.
I have newer seen a lot of fireflies in the same time but it looks amazing on the pictures. A peace of unbelievable part of the natureshakes my imagination.

When darkness came...
Our installation had several conditions regarding to the atmosphere. When it was getting dark, it was nice to see how it started illuminating. In pitch-darkness this house, for fireflies, called us to join this beauty and it became more and more even natural than in a day time.
It looked like a real place of fireflies.

During 9 nights guys light up flashlights and switched off in the morning.
It was a place for magical dreams and inspiration.
